Profile Information

My personal story:
American born (to German Jewish parents) who came to live in Israel as a Jew and Zionist. Neither of these ever meant that there was not room in my vision, for another nation to share in this small but important plot of land.
Why I want peace:
I believe in the brotherhood of Man.

I live in the West Bank and know that Palestinian people deserve their full rights as people and as a People.

It means that either we divide the land or share it in Life. Either way it demands mutual honor and respect.
Interests and activities:
meeting people,
trying to think (presently Levinas)
Something you didn't know about me:
I love coffee (real coffee..not instant :-(
How I found
Through IPeace
What I want to achieve here:
to be in touch with like minded people (of different opinions)
building bridges
and mutually challenging our prejudices
I have been doing this more actively at and look forward to participating in real people to people meetings via

In Gush Etzion there are some attempts to increase the consciousness of Israeli Jews living here that they have neighbors who are more than the "water drawers and woodcutters". (Here they are our "pumpers of gas and cement layers")

It is not an easy task, but thank G~d there are some of the younger generation here who believe that proper relationships between our people?People is more than providing employment or offering a cup of coffee to the construction worker.

But who… Continue

The Shame of the Building Freeze

I do not mean the shame of the "settlement freeze", rather i refer to the shame of the lack of building in the Arab village, Hirbeit Zacharia, just two km. from my home.

The news is that some settlers (including municipal officials) not only are beginning to recognize the plight and discrimination but may actually be doing something about it.

Humanitarian Aid for Gaza NOW and Rebuilding Gaza in the FUTURE

Posted on January 10, 2009 at 10:32pm 0 Comments

Here is a link to an organization dealing in Humanitarian Aid. They are now working to get aid into Gaza. Their budget is very cost effective. It seems a good place to contribute..NOW..

As for the the future..of course dialogue and negotiations for Peace..BUT..

Gaza has been the most a densely populated underdeveloped camp since 1948. Following Oslo agreements development started but too often the few… Continue
