A true story:
I was about to fly from Israel to Germany for a composition master class.
My teacher who was giving another master class in Syria tried to call me from there to verify some details.
Of course she didn't go through, 'cause te lines are blocked.

I had to use my Dutch online phone account in order to call her.

It made me to think about the situation and write this song about us and who we are.

After being asked so many times:
"Are you Israeli/Palestinian?"
and the constant struggle to hide from one another;

The chorus summarizes it with the say:
"Let us talk
Everything is everything
a human being is a human being".

It is so naive - Syria officialy state that it is supporting the groups that do not accept our rights to live.
Yes the situation is exactly what you see - close borders and alot of anger.
Yes we hope make it better - but first we want have mutual respect for living.
