Global Campus - Creating Knowledge for a Future without War

Documentary by David Priego

The Global Campus is an international education initiative for peace and autonomy in the most relevant areas of life such as water, energy, food and community building. It aims to build local models for a global alternative.

In summer 2011, project leaders and peace workers from 13 different nations including Egypt, Palestine, Kenya, Brazil, Mexico, India, and Colombia met for six weeks in the Peace Research Center Tamera, Portugal. The Spanish film maker David Priego accompanied them when they exchanged knowledge about local and sustainable solutions for globally relevant matters such as food production, water accessibility, electricity generation, community building - and love.

The 18 min documentary shows interviews with representatives of the peace community San José de Apartadó, Colombia, the Barefoot College, India, OTEPIC, Kenya, Favela da Paz, Brazil, Peace Community Torreon, Mexico, and Vera Kleinhammes, director of the Global Campus.
